Deliveries
If you are unable to drive to
the food bank, we will team
you up with a volunteer partner
to determine your needs
and deliver items to your
home in Morris.
Your monetary or food donations make an impact to help fight food insecurity. More than 1 in 10 of your neighbors has food insecurity. Personal items and pet food donations are also needed.
Monetary Donations
A check can be sent to Morris Cares at P.O. Box 163, Morris CT 06763. Or you can make a secure donation of any amount via Venmo by clicking here.
Non Perishables (always in need)
Peanut butter, jelly, pasta, spaghetti sauce, box or bag rice mix, mac and cheese, hearty soups, cereals, cake or brownie mixes, prepared frostings, flour, sugar, oil.
Perishables
We are very happy to receive perishable items as well. Please contact us to arrange a drop off time. Your garden overflow or buy one get one sale donations help your neighbors feed their families.
Personal Care Items
We also welcome personal care items such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, shampoo and conditioner, shaving cream, razors, deodorant, toilet paper and tissues.
Household Cleaning Supplies
We welcome household cleaning supplies including glass cleaner, floor cleaner, paper towels, laundry soap, cleanser, dish soap and sponges.
Pet Food
And of course pet food! The importance of the companionship of a pet for many of our seniors is very important.
And...your redeemable cans and bottles can be brought to the Morris town transfer station where our Morris Cares Inc. volunteers sort and bag them for redemption sites. We fund this program through that revenue as well as your donations.
